This is just sad. Trump apparently personally requested that the Ellisons revive this franchise. Ratner is a creep and also just directed the Melania Trump doc for Amazon. Chan is elderly and Tucker is near retirement age. Do they have to team up one last time to get their medications from the pharmacy?

    Then there’s this enlightening sentence:

Apparently, a number of studios passed on releasing the new Rush Hour including Warner Bros’ own New Line, the architect behind the Jackie Chan-Chris Tucker franchise

I remember actually watching the third one once. It had its moments, but one scene in particular stood out to me.

Where they have an argument in their hotel in Paris, so they go their separate ways for a night. While they’re apart, they start subconsciously missing each other so Tucker finds a Chinese restaurant and Chan orders some chicken and waffles from room service.

It was both funny, but also incredibly dated for the time the movie came out imo.
