    We’re heading for a time when you can’t practically own and control a general-purpose computer. Open-source software is more important than ever, but we need hardware to run it on, and that’s going away. So don’t throw away your old computers. One day we’re going to need them.

      Just retired my old r7 3700, still works so gonna clean it and put it back in its box until such time as my current one dies. I doubt I’ll be able to afford anything PC related in 5+ yrs so that and my box of laptops will at least keep me watching my vids and playing the media I own have physical custody of for most of the rest of my life.
