    Maybe our representatives shouldn’t be retiree age. We need some people young enough to have to live with their consequences.

      One thing is that older people have been around longer and are more familiar with the kinds of shitty tricks that bad actors like to play in politics. Their staff is almost always younger people though.

    This is a story that is as much about elderly Congress members as it is about the precipitous decline in local journalism. We’ve lost visibility to a lot of what’s going on in our communities as well as in Washington. I’m not sure how we recover from this.

    Term limits and/or age limits need to be imposed. I’ve thought for a while now that you should not be allowed to hold office once you hit the countries retirement age.
