Some event game they have, judging by what the new logo is showing. Someone posted a pic of it the other day because it’s humorously about avoiding getting banned.
Money of course.
There’s an event going on where you claim pixels on a grid for your team. If you hit an X then you get banned from the community and you’re able to continue in a different community. If you win in that one, you get unbanned from the first to keep going again. If you lose by hitting another X, you get banned again and you move to another community again. Rinse and repeat.
The background of the new logo is that grid.
So they are emphasizing gameplay over vigorous free speech discussion, which was their original mission. Makes sense to pivot like this, after kicking out all your veteran, high volume posters. Now discussion threads are filled with puns, trolls, bots, Russian Propaganda Farmers, etc., and its only gotten much worse now that their best participants aren’t diluting the nonsense.
