I also want to respond to the failure bit. Failure is part of practice but acknowledging failure is healthy. It’s not a bad thing, it’s a learning opportunity. I recognize some will argue it’s semantics or not judge myself harshly or what have you. As someone who’s been in charge of probably thousands of adults from much older to much younger I’ve found those who have a healthy relationship with failure will likely do better than those who don’t.

I’m sure athairmor didn’t mean anything but encouragement and I appreciate that. I just want to share that admitting failure to ourselves and others is a healthy path to success. Trying to minimize failure often leads to bypassing the learning from step or folks changing just enough to get away from the pain and not to prevent the pain again in the future.

Yup, I took it too far and said too much.

What did I learn? To not rely so much on the plastic card, so I bought a roll of yellow scotch tape with measurements on it and stuck it to my pen. Next time a black dress on a black background shouldn’t impact me as much.

I mean it didn’t kill me, so there’s that. 🤣
