BAFTA’s Film Committee rejected the bid as the release pattern of the film did not meet the eligibility requirements, which also state that eligible titles have “at least 10 commercial screenings in UK for at least seven days in aggregate.” Had Netflix released KPop DH day-and-date with streaming, however, the film would have been eligible, we understand.

Most of us know those awards are all bullshit anyway. They’re going after streaming because streaming is taking away from theaters which show almost as much advertising as film. And they wonder why people go to streaming. Which ironically is worse in that regard.

Still, I can’t take any of these awards shows seriously.

At the end of the day these are trade show awards. They are no different than those awards you see, best plumber in the tri county area.

It is just a marketing tool.

It was one of the most boring, predictable and low quality stories ive watched in quite a while, so if they were to win anything it would be tragic.
