Like, i’ll use full sentences, explain my day, ask them about theirs (even though they can’t answer), but then someone asks me ‘how are you?’ and i just grunt ‘good.’ am i the only one who does this?

Less weird than people “having a conversation” with chatbots. At least animals actually have a soul. They might not fully understand what you say, but they can hear the tone of your voice and perhaps, maybe, detect facial expressions (maybe).I mean I don’t understand what meows mean, but its always lovely. The different pitchs/tones of the meows almost feels human, so lovely.
