Oh, like a laptop that unfolds into an ultra wide?

It kind of bothers me that people are putting the responsibility on valve for this, when the companies themselves have purposefully not enabled compatibility in most cases.
I’ve never needed less days, more just the ability to actually focus on work and less distractions. I’ve never been more productive than WFH, and it means I can spend more time maintaining my home as well.

Oh that’s sick hell yeah

Maybe I’ve already had an aneurysm and this reality is merely a terrible delusion borne of that.

Maybe after windows 8? Last time I can remember.

Actually you’re right, I think I got my wires crossed on that one, or just old misinformation from back then. 32 bit isn’t exclusively single thread, but more games were built as single or limited amounts of threads back then. Might need to brush up on that.
EDIT: Yeah so Crysis apparently was entirely single thread for most/all functions, to this day people occasionally still have problems running it because of that, maxing out a single CPU core pretty hard. Might have to try it out at some point, see what it does to my rig.
Edit 2: So it’s difficult to exactly say, but it looks like a lot of CPUs didn’t support multithreading back in the day, and it was assumed that future CPUs would have higher clock speeds over multithreading capacity. I guess that was the motivation, that or they just need to wrap up development and the benefits of multithreading weren’t as important at the time.

AI is a weird thing right now. It’s not surprising that any company gets into it given the promise of huge money, but it does mean that technology the average enthusiast tends to rely on gets less focus, higher prices, not to mention it’s gonna be weird if the AI industry pops.
It’s not a linear good/bad thing, but it’s like when a good friend starts listening to Joe Rogan or something; it’s possibly harmful and you’d feel better if they weren’t.

Possibly not, crysis is single thread bound due to it being a 32 bit application. You can technically run it as x64 but that’s cheating.

Fair but that still sucks

Might be permissions of whichever environment you’re running the sh in? Or potentially it wants that exact version, I’m only mildly competent at Linux at this point.

Right? It’s a huge bridge between x86 and ARM, it just opened up a potentially huge market for lower power consumption gaming devices. You could have like a Gameboy that runs silksong or something.

Yeah installed it a few days ago, super easy. It comes with a Linux/steam deck install guide.

Look up wheel slipping, I assure you they can do burnouts and the amount of power behind them is scary AF haha

Thanks, I’ll give it a look. It’s been really hard for me to find art books that actually give practical advise.
I typically do use rulers, but if you’re referring to the slight curve on the buildings here as they go up, I actually really like it. I know it might not be what you were going for, but it feels like what it feels like to be in an alley like this for me, sort of a fisheye effect that makes the top of the building look more closed in maybe.
Anyway, thanks again!

This looks great, what techniques for perspective did you use? I’m very amateur and have only really done 2 point perspective

Prefer my roguelite os, I can only install updates every time I nuke my system.

I don’t believe it is if you know what you’re doing, but not as easy on Linux.

Ditto this, 2007 was a fucking crazy year. All that next gen hit at once, people still taking risks on unique ideas. Nowadays you only see that kind of stuff from the indie scene, though they’ve been doing a great job with it IMO.
They’re gamblers and con men. People that get to controlling positions in these businesses generally don’t do it by being reasonable and responsible with the people under them, money or ethics.
