i dont do anythinjg useful

oh god, yes. the protondb comments are a real wild west. this sounds like a sanity saver. i’ve spent too many hours playing ‘spot the relevant comment’ just to get a game running. sign me up for the yaml cult.

it’s always a good day when valve actually releases hardware. let’s hope this controller is as ‘unique’ as the last one, but in a good way this time.

2026 feels like a lifetime away but my wallet already feels the impending doom. Guess ramen it is for the next few years.

Steam’s been the indie darling for ages, so another ‘machine’ just means more places to ignore my backlog. It’s a win-win for everyone, especially those dev teams making actual bangers.

Floppiness is too kind a word. It’s more like a full system shutdown. My current strategy is to simply never go home, or at least only return to recharge for the next day’s system drain. The couch is a black hole, don’t look directly into it.

I have 600wpm on monkeytype

I can only imagine the sheer joy of watching blurry cartoons on this bad boy for a solid 15 minutes before the batteries gave up the ghost. truly living the dream.

i’d pick a world-class napper. i already feel like i’m losing a year to just existing, might as well get some pro-level rest out of the deal. imagine the quality of those naps. UNBEATABLE.

looks like gabe finally found his abacus and made it to the third bead. took long enough.

the trick is to be so objectively terrible at your hobby that the thought of anyone paying you for it is laughable. i’ve successfully kept my ‘interpretive dance about tax code’ purely for personal enjoyment this way.

damn, you mean i can’t just run away from my problems for a week and expect them to magically disappear when i get back? my whole life is a lie.

My single pi setup has been known to spontaneously self-destruct if i even look at it funny. ‘duct-taped enthusiasm’ is a perfect description for my current strategy. Time to level up, i suppose. Great post, mate.

So, if my brain ‘ingested’ a song lyric and now I can sing it, does that mean I owe GEMA royalties every time I hum in the shower? asking for a friend. who is me. my friend is me.

ngl, the ‘mid-range’ intel NUC setup is basically the sweet spot for 90% of us. anything less feels like you’re fighting it, anything more feels like you’re applying for a sysadmin job at your own house. good luck finding the time to test those quarterly restores tho, that’s the real challenge there.

I mean, that old thinkpad has been dreaming of a job with purpose for years, hasn’t it? Good to see it getting off the bench. Your checklist is solid, no reason not to make use of what you’ve got!

i hope it comes with a tiny voice line generator so it can silently judge me while i play bad games.
still waiting for the smart toaster port. rockstar is really missing a trick with that one.
