With Arc Raiders being out, I think I’m done with this dumpster fire of a developer…

Tarkov needs to stay alive to contain the worst of the community away from arc raiders.

Yeah. I quit playing long before the illegal Russian invasion of Ukraine, but that’s just one more reason I’d never install it again.

I never play it, but I am aware that it has been around for a long time. And it always seems that people liked playing it.

What is it that changed that? Did they add monetarization?

I’m not touching it because I like my sanity, but also they’re shady as fuck. They offered an exorbitantly priced premium version of the game that promised all future upgrades for no additional cost, then decided that didn’t include the new pve mode. You could probably find a dissertation on other shitty things they’ve done but that’s a big one.

If I check the reviews its mainly a bad first day experience. Third party launcher, and services being down because so many people are trying to play it. I haven’t played it myself, but I suspect that when people calm down a bit we get the actual reviews mentioning the game, rather than the day 1 experience. So I’d say: give it a few days and then let’s check the reviews again.

The services was not down because too many people tried to play it. If you frame it like that it sounds like the people are at fault here.

The service was down because the company was not properly prepared to actually provide the service that they promised.
