I have fair eyes and I absolutely hate commuting in the dark. I’m on the road at half 6 when it’s still dark and the amount of SUVs and vans (wonky headlights) is just shocking. I find myself shielding the mirrors with my hands or driving hunched up to avoid getting my retinas lasered off by weapon-grade headlights. It’s so bloody dangerous, and I get flustered because it feels unsafe not being able to see what’s happening behind me. I don’t feel I should have to pull over to let all the fecking Chelsea tractors go past me, I’d be parked all day!
Perhaps I should keep my sunglasses in the car at all times.
