Wasn’t this scrapped and written off for tax purposes?
It was finally taken off the shelf and should be actually coming soon, last I knew
Ketchup Entertainment, the same company that acquired the rights to The Day the Earth Blew Up and got it in theaters (it was originally going to be streaming only), was finally able to cut a deal with Warner Brothers to distribute this movie as well. It’s got a tentative release date of August 28th of next year.
I’m excited for this one. It’s the kind of movie that rarely gets made nowadays, and it almost didn’t get finished, even after it was… well, finished.
I am unnaturally excited to see this movie! I’ve heard really good things from the few that have been able to actually see it. I’m a huge Looney Tunes nerd (my avatar is a picture of me that AI converted to a Looney Tunes character), so I am hopeful that this is great. I don’t go see very many movies in theaters anymore, even less on opening day, but I’m planning to be first in line for this one!
A Company that Makes Everything… And then scraps it for tax write-off.
Happy this will be making it to cinemas after all. Hopefully it’ll be a labour of love. The fact that corporate clearly didn’t care about it gives me hope.
