Just an FYI, when I was on twitter years ago, I followed one of the writers of Men in Black, Ed Solomon. (He was half of the duo that created Bill & Ted.)

He was still recieving notices from Sony that he wouldn’t get any residual cheques from the original release of the first MiB because technically, it was still in the red.

From a franchise that was three films in, an animated series, merch and at that point, I think MiB International was in development.

I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to see anything less in my life.

Will “keep my wife’s name outta your mouth” Smith is not really the draw they think he is. Let MIB die, it was mediocre at its best.

The first one was entertaining and the Men in Black track was extremely catchy (the female R&B chorus is extravagant). Don’t remember the other ones (I think I only saw the 2nd one).

That being said, this is clearly yet another sequel cash in.

the 3rd one was about boris the animal, basically that was already a cash crab. since the leads are tired of being MIB.

If we didn’t live in a corporatocracy, any sane government would clamp down on this rampant tax evasion by studios.

Honestly just soft reboot it. New actors and a “smaller” story. Don’t have the MIB be this giant awesome organization with all the bells and whistles just to fall over at a stiff breeze.
