I am off call. Have successful sourdough bread rising in the refrigerator. Ate breakfast. Introduced Bert to the herd (he’s back in his room now). About to make coffee and shower. Then out into the world to do grocery shopping. Other than the crowds I actually enjoy grocery shopping. Possibly because I enjoy cooking. Hoping to get in and out as early as possible.
Here’s a Dash being cute.

It’s Independence day in Finland today. They show the army parade and war movies on tv, in the evening everybody watches “the handshaking” - or independence day reception hosted by the president, who shakes hands with each guest - and critiques the dresses people wear.
We are cleaning and organizing the flat.
Wait so the President critiques the dresses? That’s kinda awesome.
Haha that would be funny! I believe he does give a compliment here and there, but what I tried to say is that it’s a tradition to watch the reception from tv and commenting and comparing the dresses is part of the experience. The tv broadcast is usually well hosted and they explain who the guests are and often comment the dresses as well.
