What we saw were rightwing counterrevolutionaries taking over the USSR, China etc. But historically it’s a great mischaracterization of all socialist revolutions to say they were “overtaken by authoritarians”. All revolutions are “authoritarian”.

That doesn’t happen though. What we saw were rightwing counterrevolutionaries taking over the USSR, China etc.
