Had to visit the burn unit yesterday, turns out burns keep getting worse for up to 72 hours. Hopefully scaring will be minimal.

I normally do those when I’m trying to work on drawing people from real life which I’m not working on right now. The live model sessions start up again in February or March and I’ll pick it up again at that point I imagine.

The best part was when the RN and the burn unit asked me if I have any allergies. I said “I’m having a topical reaction to my InstaPot” and she replied “is it a burning sensation?”

They just said gentle soap and gave me stuff to put on after.
If you can swing it, I recommend castille soap in liquid form. Otherwise wash your hands and the bar, rinse, then suds the bar with your hands and let the suds wash over the wound. If you can stand it, a light rub with your hands. NGL, it’s not going to be a pleasure cruise. Maybe take some Tylenol about a half hour before, barring contraindications, unless they gave you an opiate, then take it first, instead.

I don’t know that long C word… My wife says it’s when drugs cancel each other out.
And I’ve already taken ibuprofen and plan to just muscle through it. I could use a good cry!
