Why the hell would they do that? The peanuts aren’t interesting, they aren’t funny, they are simply depressing. What an absolute waste of money.

Thanks for inspiring me to put on my Charlie Brown Christmas album for the office. Merry Christmas, Mr. Fappy!

They also lucked into the winner in picking Blu-ray instead of HD DVD. Much like how allergic people still cough and wheeze from time to time.

This comment has a strong “appeal to authority” vibe as if a giant corporation can’t make a bad decision because giant corporations know best. Let’s all forget about the countless past examples of corporations making boneheaded moves like this such as Verizon buying Yahoo and AOL for $9 billion … in 2017.

The movie that was made about them in 2015 cost 99M and made 246M worldwide, which in movie rules is ~50M profit, which is absolute pittance compared to most movies considered successful, especially the computer animated ones.

The brand… not just the movies.

Go to any department store… Peanuts is all over the place.

Genital herpes are all over the place too but that doesn’t mean it’s what people want. Peanuts IP seems like itd only be valuable to out-of-touch boomer CEOs, a group that’s only going to continue to shrink with time.
