All my childhood favourites are dead and buried
Every smart watch
I wanted a watch for activity tracking, so I bought a fitness watch, rather than a smartwatch.
It took some adjustment to get used to the feeling of something on my wrist again because I hadn’t worn a watch for a literal decade before that.
Went with a Garmin because I didn’t want to be locked into either Apple or Google specifically, and Garmin have apps for both platforms.
It tracks my fitness stuff, battery lasts a week between charges, and it still has a few super-basic smart features like popping texts on my wrist so I can see who messaged me while driving.
Worth the purchase, and I think it’s the good battery life which is the saving factor that makes it useful versus annoying. Friend got an Apple watch, spent a week showing it off then never wears it because he can’t be bothered keeping it charged up, and I feel that.
Don’t make me regret my Pebble purchase 😥
Oh the new one looks cool… I’ve been eyeballing it. I know I will regret it, but I will probably get it eventually.
I grabbed a mi band 10 a few weeks ago because I like fitness tracking info, but don’t like being tracked. I think it was $48, and I have it connected to Gadgetbridge. It’s decent overall; not perfect, but the battery lasts more than a week on a charge, and at $48, it’s well below regret level pricing. Not trying to sell you on one btw, just commenting because my impression of smart watches has been the same as yours.
Definitely smart watch. What a waste.
iRobot vacuum/mop; I was new to the market and thought Roborock was cheap Chinese trash but boy was I wrong!
Note 20 Ultra, had absolute shit cameras
I got a Galaxy 10.1, never got a single OS update. Not one
