I keep it because it can be a useful way to get in touch with people I would only know professionally. For example, I used it to reach out to employees of a company I was applying to that used to work for the company I was trying to leave, to get a more honest opinion of the place. Past that though, I never even look at it, and I do actually try to keep my connections limited to people I know.
