You can block instances but you cannot manage the block list in the user settings.
I guess at that point it’s up to each individual 3rd party app to decide what they want to do about it.
On voyager I can block instances in the app, on piefed
I know you can do it via the users page:
but not sure about 3rd parties.
Same here on mbin - love the platform but I can’t wait to finally be able to block instances through Interstellar
Interstellar is a good app! That’s the only one that can do consolidated comments on Piefed.
Except that people that you block that way on Lemmy can still read & reply to your content, vote on it, send you DMs, triggering notifications (even for WEEKS and WEEKS afterwards… 🙄🙃) - it’s a “block” that does not actually block anything at all!?
Tbf, PieFed’s block also lets people reply to you, but at least there it does not show you them.
Both software platforms still need improvements, fortunately there are contributors hard at work making stuff happen!
