First time making walnuts with honey and miso on grilled mochi and nori, very tasty.
This looks absolutely amazing!

I should have taken a pic his morning. In northeast Japan, they make a paste of walnut, sugar, and I think butter and put it over mochi. It’s amazing.
That looks very appetising, especially the raw fish. I love all the fresh bright colours.
If I have to reincarnate on Earth I’m going to Japan
It has its ups and downs, but food is a clear up if you are ready to try new things.
Is it greedy to ask for a tour of the plates? 😄 looks amazing!
Do you mean what are each dish? Apart from the mochi (pounded rice cake) and the slices of roasted potatoes with black sesame at the top right, you can find the typical dishes and their meaning here: https://www.justonecookbook.com/osechi-ryori-japanese-new-year-food/.
Yeah, exactly. Merci 👋
That dried fish is so addictive. I literally just bought a pack for new years as well.
