I haven’t checked in with everyone, but at least one person is still using the setup two years later and is grateful for it so I call that a win. but you have to join these two statements together. ok, some subset of ublock users may be technically illiterate friends or relatives of yours, but these people are unlikely to search for problems they encounter on lemmy, they will probably go to you. which makes my original statement still valid.
