The funniest random tidbit from me finally switching my main laptop to Linux was that I plugged in a printer one time (which worked immediately), then the next time it remembered the printer and let me print wirelessly.
No printer-specific app. No connection issues. It just worked.
Now I know all the issues I had dealt with in the past were related to Windows, not the printer.
Linux appearing in the big media is so nice!
Made the jump in 2017 - I dumped windows in favor of Ubuntu and it wasn’t a good experience.
Still to this day there’s no issue free distro tailored towards causal user
I highly recommend Mint! Install is smooth and easy and it just does what it should. I haven’t had to touch the terminal a single time in the last year since my switch.
True but Mint seems closer to that than Windows does?
I come to you today to talk about Bazzite. it works extremely well for the casual user. almost literally plug and play. Todd Hoaward would be jealous of how much “it just works”. it works so well, my wife, who barely started playing computer games with Minecraft 8 years ago, uses it as a daily driver. no windows partition involved.
My experience exactly. I even dared to migrate my mother-in-law to Fedora Atomic. Much better to maintain and support than Windows.
Anyone got an archive link?
Thanks
