Also, several years ago, a tornado tore through my tiny village and several others. Trees bigger around than 2-3 horses together were uprooted; and a Dodge Ram ended up in the top of a tree that wasn’t felled.

We’ve got huge old trees around here. Not giant Sequoia, but maybe a third the size in height, but close to the breadth. Oak and pecan are the biggest. Pines grow pretty tall but breadth is sparse by comparison. But when the oaks and pecans are uprooted, the root system is exposed, and it’s breathtaking, as big as mid-sized to larger homes.
