    The only people who have interest in “AI PCs” are the ones trying to sell them to you.

    And there’s not really much if any support for local AI in commercial software. Copilot doesn’t run local AI, as far as I’m aware. It’s purely marketing.

      I see one of the primary uses of laptop npu is camera image adjustment for teams/zoom calls.

          Background blur, image enhancements, I even have one on my laptop that adjusts your eyes so it looks like you’re looking at the camera.

                  You can watch your cpu and gpu spike when you turn on various features that could be offloaded to dedicated chips.

                  You probably would have thought a math coprocessor or cpu-native media encoding/decoding was nonsense when it first came out too.
