I am not in the loop with reddit’s excuses but from the posts around here it seems like the mods are asked to review any post with the word Luigi to check if it encourages violence. I guess this is because they think that if enough people rally behind Luigi, the same situation can happen. Reddit wants to avoid stochastic terrorism against CEOs, as expected.
If you don’t mind a followup, what’s the article that apparently called for violence or whatever reddit is claiming it did?
