The Critic was a cult adult animated comedy created by The Simpsons' Al Jean and Mike Reiss and voiced by Jon Lovitz. The former SNL star now is lobbying for a reboot of the 1990s show and said that Jean is on board. “Critic fans: You keep telling me you want it back.
I loved The Critic, but so many of it’s jokes and plot were very relevant to the time period of the 1990s, I don’t know how they could reboot it. That said, I hear King Of The Hill did a great job in this regard (I still haven’t watched the new ones).
So who knows, maybe they should bring The Critic back.
It would be great because they’d talk about modern movies and when Sherman says they stink, it won’t even be a joke.
Also: They brought back King of the Hill? :O
The movie industry is in such a different place than when Jay Sherman last graced us with his presence I wonder how they’d go about making a The Critic Revival. But I’d give it a whirl. I loved The Critic.
Apparently The King Of The Jill Revival is still not out yet, so I spoke too soon. Lol. Here is an article on it though.
To the best of my knowledge this hasn’t been released but please, and I mean this with all sincerity, prove me wrong. I would love nothing more than watching one immediately.
The KoTH reboot isn’t out yet. You may be thinking of Beavis and Butthead
