It’s amazing they’re still in business. Shitty, shitty company from top to bottom.
Hertz is the very definition of scummy auto rental. Hertz left me stranded in Austin Texas by saying “Whoops we don’t have enough cars for your reservation” - the day of my reservation - after I had arrived. I will smear their name wherever I can. As an apology they… gave me nothing. They said “Well, you haven’t spent any money with us so we don’t owe you anything.” Really? Because I seem to be in a parking lot stranded with no fucking way out.
I ended up getting a $300 Lyft to San Antonio.
Fuck Hertz (Who also owns Dollar and Thrifty btw). I avoid renting a car whenever I can now, but when I have to, Enterprise/National have yet to fuck me over. It seems to them a reservation is a reservation.
At least they didn’t give you a car, then have you arrested for stealing it.
