Becuss the government wont subsidize it, in a perfect world instead of the police or military a little bit of money could go to it so companies have incentive to hire someone and give them the same pay while they work less days?
Also I never get why woman are against men also getting equivalent days off and interchanging them so they dont overlap, yeah they dont have the issue but they also werent born to work and take over extra loads the days you dont, they should get a break too if they have to have higher loads some days
