We watched Kpop Demon Hunters, which was ok. It suffers from the same problems as Turning Red in that it doesn’t seem to know what to do with its messaging other than “parental pressures and generational trauma bad”. Action sequences were good but not spectacular, music was fine but not great.
All in all a reasonably entertaining movie that slightly disappointed us with all of the good things we’d heard about it.
