I call it bait entirely because of its audience: it’s posted to r/Conservatives.
Satire should be perceivable by its intended audience, such that the audience will interact and enjoy it on that meta-level. The expected audience of that subreddit isn’t looking for coded messages to unionize. Unless this post was made entirely for the enjoyment of progressive lurkers, which is not as reasonable to assume.
Except the audience wasn’t the conservatives there. It was us. It was people outside looking in. It was posted there so it could be shown elsewhere. Pretty clearly.
Way too many comments from people taking this at face value. This is almost formulaic bait.
