So, I (FtM) have this one cis woman friend who constantly makes fun of people who use pronouns like xe/xem, neopronouns, etc. I’ve also heard, though, that those pronouns make fun of the LGBTQ community, so I don’t know how I should feel when my friend bullies and makes jokes about neopronoun users online.
they’re being an asshole and so are the other commenters making fun of neopronouns. People use different words to relate their experience of gender, CHUDs with no self introspection (required to have the gumption to transition like we are, IMO) have no idea what it’s like to even ask themselves if they are really cis

Neopronouns are cool. The fact that they’re less legible to cis people than more “respectable” forms of address isn’t a bad thing, and your friend shouldn’t make fun of them. But being in that position means they are more conspicuous and draw a lot of negative attention. I use it/its pronouns sometimes, in addition to she/her, but the cis people I know really do not like or cooperate with that.
