I worked at a cafe a while ago, it was one of the busiest in the city. It was a small team of I think six people, and we made the company millions of dollars while we got minimum wage. I’m pretty sure the manager, that put in all the supply orders and did the scheduling and hiring got paid a couple dollars more, but the owner was basically just not there at all, they didn’t have to be. I’m thinking of this while I’m sitting here, broke as fuck years later.
