Kind of off topic, but the venn diagrams overlap between networking and privacy. All of the subs here on Lemmy that deal with networking seem abandoned with posts 2 years old and older.

I’m aware of the self hosting sub, and the Linux sub, but after those options, there doesn’t seem to be other active avenues. Apparently there was a mass migration that happened to Lemmy about 2 years ago that I’m unaware of.

Anyone have any suggestions. I didn’t want to junk up the privacy sub with specific questions about networking.

Oh no no no. LOL I’ve had my fill of moderating forums, chans and the like. Reddit put the final nails in that coffin when I assisted in moderating the de-google, de-amazon, and a handful of other similar subs. The older I get, the less patience I have with overly exuberant users.

Lol. Yeah. Been through that. I find myself wanting to start new subs, then I am reminded of the horror show, and I move on.

Well, it all came to a head when two popular Android platforms decided to use r/degoogle to hash out their superiority. I decided, after that, no more. But I have helped get subs off the ground. One was r/GrowBuddy which was actually an enjoyable experience. There didn’t seem to be that many irritating edgelords smoking cannabis.
