Let’s say the troll mass reports people and says to mods he’s being slandered just to shut the evidence down hoping the mods don’t look at the incriminating links (to his own content) before banning the people calling him out. The troll posts actual slander on their victim’s posts, and if the victim has blocked them the troll posts the slander on their own profile while name dropping them and also replying to other people with slander about the person. If the victim calls the troll out the troll says the victim is slandering them and reports them for harassment.

Also, is there a name for when trolls do this?

    DO NOT FEED THE TROLL

That said I have myself experienced situations where the mods don’t seem to see what’s really going on… What can you do, it’s not a democracy.

      Several issues with that though:

      1. The troll is spreading slander about their victim
      2. If the victim blocks the troll, the troll posts the slander elsewhere, while name-dropping the victim so the slander will appear in the search results.
      3. The troll is mass-reporting the victim for false reasons to get them banned

Here’s a wonderful thing about the internet, you don’t have to give a fuck about it.

If you get off the internet and go to the store, no one is going to give a fuck about what some idiot said about you online.

If you go to visit family, none of them are going to ask you about what some goddamn dumbass said about you online.

My advice is to stop stressing about what people say about you online. It has no value, there is no substance to it. Nobody on here knows you, no one knows what makes you, you. You’re just text on a screen here.

I know the situation, and I empathise. It sucks. But you have to trust that other people are just as able to recognize a troll when they see one. If the mods are too stupid to see it, as I said, there isn’t much you can do except maybe report to someone above them?

It’s no coincidence that what I wrote in all caps has been the #1 rule regarding trolls since time immemorial. They know exactly how to work the system to get attention.
