Yet more medical appointments done. Every single Tuesday in November has something though, ugh.

I’m stuck in project hell. My wife keeps giving me “little” projects that I gladly accept because they’re little, then she turns them into impossible engineering. Like the bunk bed I am putting together. Initially it would be a lumber Jack’s dream with splinters. Now she has a CAD model I put together and she wants clean corners with no fucking screws. Like what the heck? How can I ever make something worth the sleep when I can’t even bolt it? I got the long screws going thru the 2x4 piece of shit solution from IKEA now. I hate it. Yet I’m not dead.
Meanwhile, I want to finish my UV projector so I can make cyanotypes again!
Just finished last nights Colbert!
After a looooong time away I’m finally getting back into C++ properly now.
Then a game jam starts this evening, and tomorrow I’m finally getting my glasses checked. Haven’t been able to see properly for 2 weeks now and I hope it’s an easy fix.So yeh busy weekend lmao
I have to be able to see properly. That would drive me nuts.
It does suck and makes work and playing some games impossible. Had to stop playing anything multiplayer at all because I suck so hard rn.
I didn’t really believe them when they said it could take up to 2 weeks for my eyes to adjust and a couple days ago my suspicions were kinda confirmed because I can see clearly if I flip the glasses around (I.e. with the temples pointing away from my face). Dunno what they fucked up but they certainly did fuck up.
Here’s hoping the fix won’t take long.
I was accepted to both those courses I applied to so had to make a decision which one to pick. I chose the more practical one which starts already next week. I’m super nervous about it and having a hard time calming down and not overthinking everything. And as if this wasn’t stressful enough my SO just found out about a position opening in Berlin and they’d have a good chance of being accepted for transfer - it’s something they’ve been dreaming of, so I encourage them. Heck, why does everything always happen at the same time?!
We are going to the cottage for the weekend and I hope picking mushrooms (if there’s any left) and being in nature will help with this stress…
How far is Berlin? Would you have to move?
We live in Finland now so yup, would have to move. I’ve always wanted to live abroad, for a while at least, so it would be nice to have that opportunity, but myself I really don’t like big cities so I’m worried how that would turn out. But it’s not certain yet and probably I shouldn’t get ahead of myself!
That doesn’t mean giving up the cottage does it?
