  • Sometime in maybe 2021-22 I messed up something on a shitty laptop of mine at the time. Changed something on win10 and was trying to fix it to get admin privileges back on the single account on there. Some website recommended flashing Ubuntu onto a thumb drive and entering some commands on the live boot. Didn’t work out and I didn’t wanna go through with a fresh win10 install for close to, if not, $100 for everything. Ended up with Ubuntu 20.04 installed because I wanted to use that laptop.

I’ve since tried many and currently have MX on a better laptop. At some point I’m gonna try to either find something new I can learn so that way by October I can make my desktop have a priority Linux boot with an internet disconnected win10 partition, or just go with Mint or MX. Definitely got a small list of distros I might wanna try, so we’ll see.

  • Steam Deck’s touchpad so “too awkward”…

The Steam Deck touchpads are literally the ONLY modern touchpads I like. Every other mother touchpad is absolutely atrocious because they don’t give you anything like a vibration to tell you your mouse is moving and you actually get some level of confirmation you clicked. It feels like every other touchpad out there now, I swear, requires you to attempt to click on the left/right mouse button (completely integrated into the touchpad) about a billion times before it registers that you clicked once.

Also, if the joycons for switch 2 are anywhere near as uncomfortable to hold for extended periods of time like they are for me with regular switch, I guarantee my hand would start hurting after a couple minutes of the, probably gonna be as responsive as a dead man to a cannonball to the face, mouse mode. The premise of turning what could be one of the worst controller designs I’ve ever seen into a mouse makes my hands bleed in pain without having to ever hold one.

  • I have absolutely no clue what the “normal” way to hold a pen is, but I hold all pens, pencils, whatever, using my thumb, pointer, and middle finger. That’s how I’ve been doing it for basically ever. Absolutely do not recommend that if you are like me; left handed and the other side of your hand rests on page when writing.

  • I got no clue if this would count as something you’d be into, but I’ve been having fun with Skyblock Zero on Luanti.

Idon’t know how quickly you could finish it considering I play purposefully inefficiently, but it’s a space themed with a quest line to follow where the only limited resource is your time. Spawn on a voxel, keep clicking to gain resources, and build out from there. So far one of my only gripes is storage in the game is only drawers instead of chests, so I constantly have machines and my inventory filled.

  • If anything, I only use ungoogled chromium if a website refuses to work in Firefox. Had a financial fraud and identity theft scam the other day hosted on a Singaporean form service thing that I had to report using that browser because the send report button wasn’t working on FF.

As much as I don’t like it, it’s probably a good idea to have a backup chromium based browser like ungoogled chromium just in case. Just be sure to not be like me and actually have it in some sort of sandbox rather than running the flatpak on its own.

  • The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog (not Sonic the Hedgehog/SatAM) cartoon 4 year old version of Tails is absolute peak Tails.

As a pretty big Tails fan, I really like this very childish Tails who has little to no filter when he speaks, sometimes.

Have yet to play forces, but I’ve seen the cutscene where Tails calls out for Sonic’s help and I absolutely love it because it reminds me of that cartoon version of Tails who at times is just absolutely helpless and needs Sonic to come rescue him.

  • Don’t know if it was ever announced to be in development and existed in any form outside of being told there was going be 3 games, but would absolutely love to have seen what the 3rd Sonic book game would have been like. I still need to play the Black Knight game, but would absolutely hop on board the 3rd if it existed.

That, and would absolutely LOVE if Sega uncanceled the Riders series. Best racing game series to ever exists in my opinion. Too bad the 3rd game sucked so hard it caused the beautiful rose that is the Riders series to wither away.

    1. I’ve read plenty of manga, so I’m more familiar with them and how I feel is definitely dependent on the writing and art style. Bakuman (from the creators of Death Note)? Love it for the art style and story. I also love how it shows you how the mangaka industry works to a degree, from the standpoint of close to 2 decades ago now at least. Currently don’t have a manga series in my collection I don’t like, so can’t say anything about one I dislike currently.

    2. I have not read any manwha besides a series I have the first 2 books of called Zero/Six. I don’t really care for the whole webtoons thing since I’d rather collect a physical copy of a series for something of similar style to a manga.

Side note: I have reservations about continuing to read Zero/Six considering I just looked at volume 1 to confirm something and I was right when thinking I remembered Hitler being in the book. He’s literally the main characters German teacher and within the first page we see him he’s literally called Hitler (looks exactly like him too) and does a Nazi salute after beating a students ass with a wooden stick(?). I get the book was originally published in the 90s and translated in the mid-2000s, but that’s definitely a pretty big red flag for me on an otherwise pretty good series.

    1. Manhua is the one I’d say I definitely have the absolute least experience with. Closest I have is finding some translated Fei Ren Zai 4 panel manhua online. Props to the creators of that manhua and the donghua because I like them for some of the comedy and random short skits. Not much else to say.
