Sigh, at least I’m not alone in my obliviousness. Can i stop beating myself up about it now? How about all those other unrelated past mistakes i made, can i stop beating myself up about those too? Sigh.

No it doesn’t. I have no idea where you came up with that thought, but it’s totally incorrect. And that’s the entire fundamental basis of your concept, so everything else stemming from it is incorrect too

I don’t know what made you think that, but you’re wrong. Both Tron 1 and Tron 2 were moderate successes
The company’s own website lists “weight” as a separate row item in their performance comparison chart

I think it means 10 times strength-to-weight, and 6 times strength-to-volume size
If i had to guess then I’d guess they mean lighter by volume. Like if an i-beam made of steel weighs 6 tons, then the same size i-beam made using superwood would weigh 1 ton.
I.e. it’s 10 times better in strength-to-weight, and it’s 6 times better in strength-to-volume.
This is just my guess at interpreting what they tried to say

Visually even at the time i thought a lot of the effects looked bad, so I’m sure those parts only look worse to a modern eye
