Don’t try to modernize it to much, just accept it’s a product of its time and get it to run properly on your system. It’s amazing. You’ll get used to the jank and you’ll love it.
RNG in that there’s an unpredictable sway and a delay in your crosshairs “converging” on a target such that your aim would make any difference at all.
Genuine piece of advice, if you have the patience for it - walk everywhere, don’t use fast travel. Treat it like a hiking sim sometimes and it will reward you with vibes like no other game.
It does mean that sometimes you’ll have a session where nothing happens and you don’t progress any of the missions/story… but I always found it to be super worth it.

Rubbish. They don’t exist in a vacuum. Killing them would give the entire fucked up catalogue of villains around them the incentive and the justification to grab more power, more violently. I don’t get the logic that discussing the end of a 30 year old film shouldn’t require spoiler tags. There are 20 year olds out there who may never have heard of the film, it’s not their fault they haven’t seen it yet. Maybe they’d enjoy it?
