Erase all federal and state government, only leave existing town boundaries and muncipal law. Every town must hold elections that year. Towns will then naturally start to work together via commerce, cultural and geographical ties and can create their own collectives/states. Or maybe they will become related and a part of Mexico or Canada and that’s fine too. Just have a rule that any town that hasn’t become part of another country must donate 5% of their tax income for a small military defense force.

It’s getting really bad. Someone made a video on Tiktok where they were following an AI recipe for canning chicken and they didn’t use a pressure cooker. There was like a deluge of comments about how “no, salty water actually won’t keep uncooked chicken stable” before she took it down. I don’t think she even heated the brine.

My point is that there is existing hardware already out on the secondary market for cheap, and can run most of what anybody needs. All those machines that aren’t up to snuff for Windows 11 standards don’t need to go into the landfill.

I hope they do, it will just break stuff more and people will be more likely to go with Linux and open source software. My 10 year old computer still is super fast if it’s not bloated.

I have watched 10-20 min random segments a dozen, dozen times over the last couple weeks… I can fill some holes. Rumi is the one with purple hair. I know what you’re talking about. As someone who had to hire a lot of people it was infuriating that we only got the candidates HR approved.

I so wish that we could hire 5 people for 2 weeks and then retain 1 or 2 of them. You don’t learn anything about candidates until you give them your first assignment. I would have jumped at that as an applicant, but maybe just because I was unemployed for a while during the 08 super recession.

Sure its fine at home. But try getting an entire office to learn new spreadsheet software. They can barely handle when a new version of Excel is released.

Microsoft needs to be sued to allow for a Linux desktop Excel. Once that happens they would lose like half their market share to Linux.

We already have a similar problem in medicine where people experience pain differently, so it’s hard for people to verbalize and quantify. If you had no frame of reference at all, how would you know that life isn’t supposed to be painful?

You can even view it from the opposite way. What if by removing pain you remove any good feeling it has? There can’t be light without the dark kind of thing.
