Cool, they titled it appropriately.
Metroid: Beyond my interest.
One of them Carpenter nerd types.

Ah. Then you’re well versed already. I have played through it enough times at this point that I actively and purposefully grind the materials I need well ahead of time, though I don’t think I’ve ever 100%'d the game. I think the worst was getting the death prevention accessories for my group so I could take on the angel of death without getting one shot. But I have spent an exorbitant amount of time leveling off loopers near their landmark.

Skies can certainly be slow. Though if you feel like grinding levels you can do that after yafutoma and pretty much one turn the normal fights and makes the ship battles much smoother.

You might, but it will have absolutely nothing to do with your relationship status.

I hear anything at or above 8k resolution negates the need for anti aliasing entirely… But I feel that my pc would would be running at or around 10-15 fps for most games I would care about anti aliasing on.
Nice in theory, definitely can’t handle that many pixels in reality.
It could mean a myriad of things. There’s no telling unless she actually wants to.
Anything from “this person isn’t worth my effort” to “I want to appear smaller/weaker than them” are completely possible. You won’t know the truth… possibly ever. Even if you ask directly it’s entirely possible you won’t hear the truth. Stop thinking about it so much, and since you know that’s how it’s going to be, loosen up your handshakes a bit for her.

Those dial up days on avp2 were peak gaming though. I don’t want them to return, but I remember those days very well.

I can say I was long ago when it was roughly “women’s rights should be equivalent to men’s rights” in terms of personal, work, social values and features.
These days and especially in the last 10 years I don’t think the umbrella of feminism is large enough to encompass all of the discrimination I have seen through my time existing.
The long and the short of it is people’s rights should be similar when applicable, the same when possible.

I have an emotional support brit I vent to at times, and they in return vent back to me about their day. Since we’re not on the same continent and generally don’t hang out with the same groups it’s very relieving to be able to tell someone literally anything about yourself and know that information is safely sealed a significant portion of the world away from you.

Thank you kindly

In no particular order or genre:

Any idea if they are playing the games solo (where possible) or with a group? They do all support multiplayer, and it’s kind of important to understand why they play the games they play.
I’d probably check the wishlist or literally ask.
I interviewed for one. It’s was an “electric company” which offered people a “better rate” on their bills. It was a variable rate that wasn’t guaranteed to ever be lower overall.

Ah yes, young men. That notoriously healthcare obsesses group of individuals that do all they can to drain the system of all its funding. That’s the problem.
It’s a shame people actually fall for blatant lies like this.

Generally speaking time will fix all those issues.

huh… Well I guess you can’t please everyone.

ok… why?
Edited: Almost none of the things mentioned are new for either the game or how Capcom in general has pretty much always operated.
The one plus side of this whole thing is that I was made aware I needed to clear my shader cache for the game so it runs better, and after checking in game it certainly does.

Instead of going to find it… I’ll just do my best to list it from memory (and it’s not going to be complete)
ammo economy in general was ruined from the first game. The entire ‘guardian’ legendary weapon set were removed, and most class mods no longer have any ammo regeneration unless certain characters. Lots of guns now shoot multiple bullets per shot, making this problem even worse.
Backpack space was lowered from the first game, while equippables was increased. Overall space was increased with the bank included… but not by much. I think the difference is 2.
The rock, paper, scissors health types first introduced in the general knoxx DLC were really leaned into really hard, which means it’s very handy to have a weapon of each element type on your person.
These three were my major issues. It’s a LOOTER SHOOTER. I need to LOOT and SHOOT. These three points made it more of a chore to do the base game loop at higher levels, especially considering that most characters had only a couple preferred weapon types. Combining all three points meant I was usually balancing 3 weapons of different types so the ammo didn’t overlap with different elements so I could effectively shoot fleshy, shielded, and armored enemies… and then sometimes slag.
There are some other gripes about the skill trees being overall worse than the first game, the DLC’s eluding to the best fights from 1 and being really disappointing (looking at you Crawmerex), and the lack of any real changes in the enemies from the first game. Sure there were plenty of new skins, but the actions didn’t change at all.
I’m sure there were more, but these points were enough to show me that the dev team was moving in a direction I wasn’t particularly excited to play. The story and most boss fights were way better than 1’s. So there was some positive growth, but in terms of overall gameplay I felt that the game was a massive downturn from where I would have liked to see the game go.

I noted the issues with gearbox near the end of the borderlands 2 cycle and put them on my ‘I’ll buy it when it drops down to under $10 for everything’ category.
I have posted a fully compiled list for 2 that put me off further first day spending posted somewhere. I’m sure I could find it if needed.
Anti chamber, portal, journey, and Rez.
