  • Rental housing scam. A place came up for rent near me with more rooms and I deseprately needed it for my kids but it turned out to be a reupload of a house that used to be for sale and the guy fooled me with the “application fee” thing along with trying to get me to pay him more money to allow pets but I learned by then it was fake and called him out on it and he ghosted me

  • How did you hear about pakistani food? Where did you hear about Pakistan recently enough to recall it? Was it food related or not? If you look deep enough, yes sometimes unconsciously, we make these decisions that seem random but they are not. In a real scenario, not one just made up for the sake of debate, theres gonna be underlying reasons for your “random” choice. You could even try your darndest to be random and choose the first thing that comes to mind but you are still digging for things that it ties to “that would be unlikely therefore random” when in reality its just a word or concept you’ve unconsciously defined as unusual or different. I don’t think there is a human element or ability to choose chaos like you think there is. It just appears that way because thats the only way we are capable of perceiving it

  • This is my favorite take on this topic. I also feel this way and its hard to get people to look at it this way I’ve noticed. People tend to loop back to “If theres no free will why do anything?” Or “If there is no free will why should murderers be punished?” Just because theres possibly no free will doesnt mean we should change the way we live our lives.

  • To add to this, I’ve noticed not only here but anywhere I ask this question there is a camp of people who immediately become defensive and say the question is pointless. In person it can lead to people getting very angry sometimes at the idea and that is odd to me. I don’t really see how the question is pointless, and instead it seems to me like some people feel intimidated by it

  • Daggerfall is my favorite Elder Scrolls game and what the community has done for it is amazing. A lot of people hate the dungeon design but honestly its my favorite part. I love how mazelike they are and I have become very good at navigating them. The immersion is good too if you can wrap your head around it. Most quests having a deadline really makes you question whether or not you can fit that 8 hour rest in. Caught a disease from a rat? You wont know it until later when you start feeling too sick to travel. Cursed with lycanthropy? Better get out of town when the full moon hits. I wish they had stuck to this formula for elder scrolls games but as others in the fanbase have pointed out, these mechanics have been thrown out in favor of attracting a broader audience which sucks but I understand
