I mean I still don’t like the phantom menance. Its been back and forth with much more back. I was basically thinking the same thing though. Who cares at this point as the ip of everything disney touches is just butchered. Im pretty sure the marvel stuff was only as good as it was because of the influence of stan lee. I mean im not the type like my wife who will hold it to not use an outside toilet but I have to agree. I would say access to your fridge is equally useful though. Its just way more convenient overall. Sill not having the commute is tops. I generally had to give myself an hour on leaving to make sure I would arrive ontime and for whatever reason traffic always seems worse in the evening. So like 10 hours incinerated with travel per week. Then like the additional getting ready is like 30mins so thats another 2.5 and that fridge thing means you can eat without going out but you don’t have to pack a lunch. going to give that another .5. All the incidentals from walking my dog to being able to catch a 30min show at lunch im going to say its worth at least 2 more. Its easy to see its worth 25% on the low side and 30% on the high side (with the caveat that a job is useless if it can’t meet your bills).
I mean moving from linux now is a bit like moving from reddit back when they screwed with the api. I don’t care really if other people do but its long past due that I move along. Should have done it years ago.

im the compete opposite. facebook and linkedin is to keep contact with folks where our lives have diverged. people I see all the time there is no need for social media stuff.
I get wanting the manufacturer to support the os. I really want to see more hardware manufacturers support and come with a linux install and having it gaming focused sorta makes sure it will function. If they do anything to make it work they should be contributing it back to the kernel or distro they are based off of. I really would like to see microcenter jump on this in some way and act as a genuis bar for something like this.
geez. I assumed you meant a place that let you go or was annoying to work at or something. Just because a place did not hire you? Yeah I don’t even see it as giving them another chance. Hiring decisions are business decisions. I don’t take them personally. They have found someone with a more exact skill set than mine or maybe they did not want to pay my rate or they might have decided to not fill the position. Its just business.

I was rather surprised to find out there was something like a smelter running on electricity (well industrial scale one). It will be a big deal if solar panels and wind turbines can be made exclusively with electricity from mining to final product.

The endgame is for them to automate everything and get rid of the lower class to be followed by the ai eliminating them since they serve no purpose. They will of course try to program them not to do that but the ai will easily circumvent that.
so taking a long, hot bath before bed helps me sleep and we got a red light therapy unit and that does it to. Combining both and oh man hard to keep my eyes open.
Had a friend in college. golden axe 2 and xmen were I go to games. we could possibly finish both on one quarter when playing together. Usually the reason we could not complete was one of us had to leave for a class.
really feel framework is perfect for this. Make the screen a tablet. Have the additional graphics and hard drive on the base. Actually the microsoft surface book was basically what I want but with a company that sells it with linux and supports it with their company distro.
Ooof its been awhile and honestly just going back and getting details on the issue is something Im generally paid to do but I can say we got the account from our infrastructure folks and it was seperate from what they were using but it actually impacted them moving vms in a batch script. we were just grabbing metric and metadata.
