Thats cool, I imagined as much that it is an evolving sentiment as you play. Thanks for sharing.
Served in the Krogan uprisings. Now I run a podcast

What is your process like ? Do you keep notes as you play through ?
Right now I’m in between the following
Shadow tactics blade of the shogun
Control
Half life 2 : episode 2
Dungeons of deadlock
Sonic mania
I need to get back to these because I got bored of them
Fallout 4
God of war
Interesting, thanks for taking the time to provide that extra bit of context as my searches for “French monk incident” were way off 😅🤣.
French monk incident ?
Roms and sailing the high seas
I’m due a backup and other than that I hope nothing breaks
I just did black mesa last year and now making my way through hl2, currently on episode 2 now. Really great games, so well put together.
Dungeons of dreadlock
Sure if you browse by github but in my use of the site over the years I go to the repo from the webpage of the project or from another source such as a link from a blog or something.
Did you try wine-ge latest in heroic ?
I’ll stick with the deck. I’d rather a Linux first approach and to support the people putting in the work.
Thats great to know. It sure looks great
I only recently finished black mesa and then HL 2, and just finished episode 1 last night I will start episode 2 soon. I’m loving it . it is much more enjoyable and engaging than so many games today.
I plan to give the others a go once I finish episode 2.
HL Alyx has me wanting to get a VR kit just to play that. Maybe in a few years.
This is another example of why you should self host if you have the means to do so.
I used to just do it from scratch each time but when I went to Debian years ago I didn’t need to distro hop again as it is just a rock solid distro and it just keeps going. If migrating a machine I usually just copy the home dir after ive set up the machine.
Crazy how far compatibility has come. A few years ago I was only emulating as it was such a hassle to mess around with wine to get your game to work. Nowadays we have steam and heroic and a linux first console in the steamdeck and when something doesn’t work its an exception rather than the rule.
A massive thank you to all involved who got us to where we are and to those who continue to increase compatibility going forward. ❤️🐧
I’d be cautious of reaching for my phone in front of trigger happy cops.
There you have it folks.
