Thankfully chicken is still low for me (used to be .69 cents a lb on sale, now .99) but holy hell, ground beef is like unobtainable anymore. They want nearly $6 a lb for the 70% ground beef and I just can’t ever justify it. We’ve mainly just been living on chicken, and pork when there are good sales, but yeah lots of meatless meals.

Electricity has been noticeably going up for me as well and its quite honestly insane. I live in a single-wide trailer with 1 other adult, we’re not running heat or AC right now because its spring, we have been actively trying to conserve energy because of how high the bills are so we’re making sure to turn stuff off, I unplugged my deep freezer and consolidated to just the fridge, I only do full loads of laundry, with cold water, etc. My electric bill is still over $300!

I feel like we’re living like cavemen and we’re still somehow using $3000+ of electric, I don’t get it.

Fun memory I just had: My dad was a penny picker and would empty his pockets at the end of the day into one of those blue 5-gallon water jugs that he kept right at the front door by the stairs. One time when it was full, I was trying to be slick and take a lil, and knocked the jug down the stairs where it broke and pennies cascaded down them like a waterfall of copper. Dad was pissed at first but then found it funny. Whats even more funny, is that we didn’t clean it up for months, we just had penny stairs, and I swear he would come home and just throw his new pennies right on the stairs. He probably would have kept it that way forever but I cleaned it up as a surprise while he was gone one day.

We get the worst of both worlds here, we pay for our data to be taken so they can sell it. If they’re going to sell my data either way, I would prefer it to be free to use the internet at least.

I’ve been to Vegas twice and both times had a really great time. Its very fun downtown, and cheap.

General tickets are around $450, which is very high but not insane for what concert prices are these days. Shit it was $120 for the CHEAPEST seats to see Post Malone in my area this month.

Oh yeah they are! If you wanna get really crazy, for the last 3-4 years there’s been a music festival in Las Vegas called “When We Were Young” and its all the punk rock/pop from the early 00’s I mean like all of them. Its a 2 day event with 2 stages.

A coulpe years ago I got a 3 day ban on twitter for telling MGT that I hope she got a boil on her butthole. I cracked myself up with that one, they accused me of threatening violence against her.

I got permanently banned for “Inciting violence” by telling protesters to leave their phones at home so they don’t get tracked and that they were gassing people during the BLM protest, so “prepare accordingly.” (meaning bring a mask or something). It was on a post where someone was specifically asking for tips for protesting too.

I agree, because I was the kid who didn’t have any respect for a hypocritical parent.

My mom did a very good job at teaching me that respect is something that is earned and THEN she taught me to think independently and stand up for myself. These are all things she was supposed to do of course. However she followed that up with becoming an alcoholic and crack addict who would leave me alone all the time so she could go party for days. Then was absolutely flabbergasted when I showed her that same level of respect and didn’t follow her rules anymore.

I was in counseling and anger management and truly believed I was the problem at the time, but looking back now that I’m in my 30’s, what did she expect? She’s the one that taught me not to take any shit, and then she started giving me shit.
