I like using Photogimp.
I like using Photogimp.
You nailed this one bro

Lol all I have is the remnants from my ship of theseused main rig chilling in a 3d printed enclosure running a single game server (sometimes) and I call that my homelab. Mostly because anyone I actually talk to in real life has no idea what the fuck I’m talking about anyway.

OverTheWire is fun! If you decide to play and get stuck make sure to check out the discord for help.

Lol that’s pretty much how it went for me. One day it pissed me off for the last time. Switched to Jellyfin and never looked back. Should have done it so much sooner.

There is a private tracker named materialize. Small and not easy to get into quickly, but if you’re on other private trackers check their invite forums. You should be able to find a thread (probably closed) if you’re on a big enough private tracker. And then you just wait for them to open the thread and start taking applications again.
Thanks for the recommendation! I always end up doing things the hard way anyway lol
Hell yeah! Thanks for the background info and the link to the documentation!
Hell yeah, I don’t really mess with scripts much yet but I do love to be non standard. Thanks for the run down!
I just switched to fish for the pretty colors and quality of life features. Anything I should keep in mind while using it as a Linux noob? I don’t even know who POSIX is lol.

If you want to buy a little insurance for your self look into getting a seed box. Then you can download from the seed box with a VPN over sftp. I would think that would be pretty hard to determine what you’re doing but I don’t know enough about it to speak confidently one way or the other.
What options are you looking into as far as a Fi replacement? I’m also on Fi and want to ditch them, and the Pixel soon.

I was just there yesterday, shoulda had me pick one up for you.

There is a setting to disable voice recording (under accounts? I think?) that disables ads and simplifies the home screen. Also you should get one of the downloader apps so you can side load whatever you want.

I will note that price is from the local grocery store, because fuck Walmart. But also the main reason I grow it under artificial light instead of out in the garden is because it gets so hot here that lettuce starts to bolt in May or early June. This way I have non bitter lettuce year round.

Lol I hear that man. When Jellyfin isn’t working or starts stuttering my son is very vocal about his feelings on the matter. I agree with you, i feel like the hardware upgrades were paltry compared to the price hike from Chromecast to “Streamer box” or whatever.
My other complaint is the stupid thing expects a spot somewhere to take up space on an entertainment center or shelf instead of dangling from the HDMI port like a good little dongle.
If something better does turn up you gotta come back and let us all know about it lol Good luck out there, brother!

I’m not sure where you live, but where I’m at it feels like everything is expensive. Want a head of lettuce? That’s $5. You want that same head to still be good and fresh 2 weeks later? Ha! That’ll be another $5.
Whereas my 60 watt Mars Hydro (the big one) only uses $3 in electricity per month. Now the fan and the smaller supplementary light use power too. Idk how much, but it couldn’t be more than the purpose made grow light. So let’s call it $6 per month for fresh lettuce whenever I want it. Can’t beat that with a stick, bud.

I actually just set my living room tv up with a new Google streamer thing yesterday. Super easy to add Jellyfin and it’s basically the same as the Chromecast that my wife and 4 year old are used to. I even bookmarked Overseerr in my wife’s phone and she’s able to download things for the 4 year old where as before it was a very manual process that involved me having to do everything and then put it on a Plex server. Fuck Plex though, I have seen the light. Everything about Jellyfin is better.

For sure! If I remember you’ll get an update lol
Not OP, but I’ve never been exposed to those words in that order and I can’t tell you how lovely they are. I’ve definitely needed them before. Thanks for spreading kind words!
