Blanket no on that one
The only issue is, it took years for that reality to sink into the minds of the electorate in the UK, and in the meantime the UK’s economy suffered considerably.
I’ve been feeling like there are quite a few parallels to the Brexit mess in this past election and this administration’s policies. It took a while for the reality of Brexit to evaporate away the magical thinking; I think it’s just a matter of time before the same happens here as the cost of living shoots up as a result of these tariffs.
There’s only a subset of games that use the cartridge as an access token. Cyberpunk comes fully loaded on a 64gb cartridge, for example.
This is the kind of creature comfort inconvenience that will tank this administration’s popularity. Americans are fickle and will not accept this kind of disruption to their lives.
I’m so excited to see benchmarks. Nintendo’s offering has a 1080p screen, but I’m curious to see if it actually has more horsepower than the deck and its 720p(ish) screen. My guess is it doesn’t in handheld mode.
Knowing Nintendo, we won’t know until June. Gonna hop over to digital foundry now to see what their impressions of the Wednesday direct was.
Why would I need that when I already have a cube that plays games?!?
I was downvoted back to hell for saying the mouse was meh.
I see that comment of yours at -1, really not all that bad imo. Still dumb to downvote people for honest opinions though.
It’s Nintendo; I wouldn’t count on this being a foregone conclusion.
Not excited for this to become the new trend from Nintendo
I was watching the nextlander coverage and they were hoping for “burnout kart”
Sounds like there’s actually a free roam feature and an overworld in the new Mario kart game so this actually makes this conversation a possibility
Would love to see if there is any self awareness in the comments
I left before the IPO, so no. From everything I’ve heard, they don’t have a process for ban reversals aside from their seemingly useless appeals “system”.
I might add, they’re showing you how much they value you with this opaque ban. Don’t go back to an abusive platform. Don’t give them value by adding to their MAU stats.
I dunno why people are so downvote heavy in this comm…
Yeah I agree that Nintendo has seen the most success when they have a compelling gimmick; time will tell if the same gimmick with more power will do the trick. I doubt the mouse gimmick will be more than a novelty, but we’ll see what they show tomorrow.
Besides crushing emulators, how will Nintendo compete?
The same way they have been for a while, by making charming, accessible, and fun games. The average consumer doesn’t care about how litigious they are, unfortunately.
I am hyped
Do you find there are fewer AI slop results than Google/bing?
