I have enjoyed the hell out of Riders Republic. One big issue is that it is cram packed with cosmetics, DLC and “live-service” features. If you’re able to ignore that noise there is a lot of game to love underneath. Of course you can’t really own it, since it’s live-service, but I still feel I got well more than $40 of fun out of it
I’ve played it! It’s more arcade-y than the base game. The maps are small and focused, with more of a focus on the events and curated slopes than exploration. It’s a little clunky IMO, but still very fun.
These are awesome! I am both repulsed and enchanted
This is what machine learning is supposed to be. Specialized models that solve a specific problem. Refreshing to read about some real AI research
fr, unless you’re horizontally scaling something or managing hundreds of services what’s the point
A huge marketing budget is always a red flag that the product is overpriced garbage. Beats headphones and red bull come to mind. They gotta fund that marketing budget somehow.
I think it’s interesting how much nostalgia there was for the 80s 20 years ago, compared to 00s nostalgia today. It feels like the cultural/aesthetic differences between the 80s and 00s are so much stronger than the 00s and today.
All that to say I kinda disagree on making GTA 6 a 2000s period piece
It’s also a beautiful game. I would spend hours just zipping around and taking in the scenery. Thanks for the reminder that I need to replay JC3
I’ve since switched to jellyfin, but I initially chose plex because it was the only option with a client for Tizen. It certainly felt native but very well could just be a web app.
What’s wrong with progressive web apps tho? If every device has a browser why bother writing native code for an app that doesn’t need it? A single code stream for numerous platforms is a win if you ask me.

I hope when it’s released you can turn off the MMO features and play solo. I just want to get high, bomb hills, and watch my dude get all of his bones obliterated like the good ol days. I don’t need some clown decked out in a $100 dinosaur costume telling me I suck ass to heighten the experience.
ooh do me next!

Red Dead Redemption, when crossing into Mexico for the first time and the sun starts setting and Far Away by Jose Gonzalez starts playing. That shit blew my mind.
I love these sm
