Cripple. History Major. Irritable and in constant pain. Vaguely Left-Wing.
Hearing that I’ve spread a little joy and historical trivia makes my day! 🙏
It’s a comma, I would’ve had to put it regardless of whether I call it a comm or a community.
No, just saying that when I see users upvoting content in a comm, they’re part of the community too, even if they don’t comment.
I’ve always wanted to know, are you the Pug Jesus or the Jesus of Pugs?
Yes 🙏
Many thanks for your MANY submissions.
Sickness implies that it can be cured; disease implies (through connotation, even if not the denotation) that it’s contagious. In both cases, it’s not that it’s negative that it bothers me - ADHD is negative, on the whole. It’s just the inaccuracy.
Like my depression is not my superpower, neither is my ADHD. It’s just something I have to live with.
Community cultures, mostly, as trimmed and pruned by admins. Most instances I don’t notice massive differences in, with a few exceptions.
It’s broader than that - it also forbids comparisons of the Israeli government to Nazis. You may say that that’s just an issue of tone that doesn’t prevent serious discussion, and you aren’t wrong - but I have no interest in getting tone policed on a fucking genocide either, regardless of German law.
On one hand, I get .org’s admins’ reasoning, and don’t disagree with the core of it - no one wants a fucking police visit to their house over a hobby project.
On the other hand, it’s a strong reason for me to not use Feddit.org (separate from Feddit.uk) comms at all, regardless of the comm’s individual position on the ongoing Palestinian genocide.

My old manimal’s last meal was a burger from McDonalds. He ate it, then ate the napkins.
Miss the old fella.
It’s a systemic issue, and economic issue that’s certainly influenced by people, but if you gave the current generation the same economic advantages the boomers had, their scale would would be either the same or similar at the same ages.
… that’s what a generational issue means.
Generations aren’t the same as eras, though. Generations exist within eras, but eras don’t travel with the generation in this context.
Clearly they do. The era is over, but the advantages persist in the generation.
It implies that baby boomers had some factors amplifying their chances, and it implies that later generations may have disadvantages as well as lacking those advantages, but that’s still not a generational issue based on the chart itself.
If the Baby Boomers had factors amplifying their chances, as a generation, and later generations did not, how is that not a generational issue?
If anything, it’s a condemnation of capitalism, not generational disparities
Why not both
Of course the guy’s name appears to genuinely be “Chad” and this seems to be a tweet, so one can guess.
He must be from Chad
Hate driving cars. Love riding an e-bike.
In a car, I feel much more vulnerable, ironically. I’m a big chunk of metal that’s hard to miss if anything goes wrong, and that even minor mistakes will result in expensive damage.
Meanwhile, I’m grateful that someone else is doing the hard work of sustaining and modding communities 🙏
Contributing irregularly is easy - being there a year later is the hard part!
