I stop reading your “article” when I see “formerly known a Twitter”. It’s been years, EVERYONE FUCKIN KNOWS

Plenty of launches like this on F-Droid.
Edit: These minimalist launchers force you to spend more time on your phone looking through the app drawer for the app you want. I prefer a launcher that lets me open an app faster, thereby spending less time on my phone.
Meta deletes the data… yeah, right.

I’ve been using ghost commander for years. https://f-droid.org/packages/com.ghostsq.commander/
GrapheneOS is rumoured to be working with an OEM to have a branded GOS phone. No word as yet of the status of this partnership. If you can wait you may be able to have GOS without a Pixel.

It’s not my favourite but it respects my privacy - the stock launcher that comes with GrapheneOS.

It’s all good. No offense taken.

I had a few Tuta accounts suspended when tying to create an anonymous Google account. Eventually, I did get a stable Tuta which I have had for months.

Always a good day when I get to block a bot.

Pixels are the only phone with the hardware and security the GOS project requires. GOS is working with an OEM to get GOS on another brand of phone.
Good to know, thanks.
I don’t know if Syncthing is available on iOS but this works great to sync Keepass’s database between Linux and Android.

Haven’t got time to read it right now but saving it to see how the predictions work out.
November 5 is a reference to Guy Fawkes.
1984 is a nod to the book.
I always enter November 5 1984 for any site that needs it.

I would have to surrender too much privacy and pay far more per month to use a dumbphone. No E2EE messaging and tracked by cell towers all the time (I use VoIP over wifi). When I’m out the phone is in my pocket 90% of the time. I take it out to check my shopping list or look at the store flyer.

I use the one provided by my vpn - this year that is Proton. Next year, Mullvad.
I’ve sometimes used NextDNS.
Freeze you credit if you have the option.
Change the password on the account and turn on 2fa if it’s available.
If all your accounts use the same password, time to start changing those and use a password manager.
A password manager is probably your best defense against a future problem as it makes it very easy for each account to have unique passwords.
KeepassXC is a good free option. Bitwarden, ProtonPass have free, somewhat limited, options. Bitwarden is $10 a year the last time I checked.
Keep an eye out for sms and phone calls that are trying to scam, your bank, cc, and government accounts will not text or call you.
